Additional Images (w/ Update)

Another picture of the damage.

A shell found outside the building, and picked up by police.
I wanted to update folks on how things are progressing at KPFT, and to correct some assertions made online or in the media.
Folks at KPFT are, understandably, shaken by what has happened. However, all remain committed to the principles of community radio and free expression. Although it is hard to speculate regarding the motivation behind what occurred, few believe this was merely a random act. Lovett Boulevard, where KPFT is located, is a quiet street and no one I spoke to can remember a time where a gun was fired on this street in over 20 years.
There was initial speculation that the damage might have been done by a high-powered pellet gun. The damage would certainly indicate otherwise, and a shell discovered in the street does too. Police retrieved the shell, dusted it for prints, and have included it in their investigation.
KPFT expects to address security needs in the wake of this matter shortly. Thank you for your goodwill, support and kindness in this challenging time.
WE LOVE YOU!!
